Architect- Graham Design
The building was uniquely designed for optimum acoustical performance for both the York College drama and music departments. The theatre can be closed up with a perimeter curtain system to dampen the noise and create a black box theatre for plays. However, when the choir performs the curtain system is drawn and engineered acoustical panels throughout the theatre liven up the theatre space for optimum choir performances. The building also consists of a public foyer and restrooms, private restrooms, dressing rooms, green rooms, musical practice rooms, ticket booth, control room, and a faculty office.
